The Klara Hansen reproduction sampler and smalls were all stitched on 36 count Straw linen from Weeks Dye Works, using two strands of thread over two threads of linen.
The sampler was worked entirely in cross stitches using DMC 502, which is represented by the O symbol. Alternatively, this piece could be stitched using Needlepoint Silk Inc thread in 663. Two skeins of thread will be needed.
Both the drum and pin cushion were stitched used NPI 663 and could alternatively be worked in DMC 502 .
To create the pin cushion, only the top half of the sampler (above the name) was stitched, then finished using traditional pin cushion fabrication techniques. The drum was created by stitching only the bottom half of the sampler (below the name), then finished as such.
