“Elizabeth Milner stitched her sampler in 1848 — isn’t it lovely? She was not perfect in her stitching, so her bands sometimes extend beyond the borders (which aren’t all that straight either!) The verse is … amusing. I guess we should all be humble, right? Look for squirrels, lions, owls, strawberries, rabbits and more. This has got a lot of charm!
