From the designer: “One Flag, one land, one heart, one hand, one nation evermore” a quote from Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr. (1809 – 1894). Holmes was an American physician, poet, and professor. This was the last line of one of several poems against slavery indicating his desire for a country free from slavery.
