Bless This House
Modern Folk Embroidery
Stitch count: 131w x 186h
Bless This House is a traditional style sampler inspired by Pennsylvania Dutch Fraktur art, created in the 17th and 18th centuries. Fraktur refers to the style of writing in those artworks, as they illustrated their documents with a fractured, pointy, gothic letter. In this pattern I used the long S, which looks very similar to the letter f to modern readers!
Model stitched on 32 count linen. Requires approximately 3-4 skeins of DMC floss.
